NOTES

In the protologue of Diospyros harmandii , Lecomte (1928a: 121) cited Harmand 415 from “ Cambodge: prov. de Kokek” as the original material. He did not cite D. harmandii in the 1930 account, neither as a species nor as a synonym. We found that the description of D. ehretioides Wall. ex G.Don var. harmandii Lecomte (1930: 925) matches with D. harmandii Lecomte (1928a: 121) , and the original material of D. ehretioides var. harmandii is “ Cambodge: (Harmand)”. We consider D. harmandii a homotypic synonym of D. ehretioides var. harmandii in Lecomte’s intentions. We located four sheets of Harmand 415 at P, and here we designate the specimen P00721490 as the lectotype.
