Diagnosis. Close to P. andoque n. sp., differing from it in having the pigmented area of the subgenital plate with the arms more separated ( Fig. 95 View FIGURES 92–97 ), and in the shape of the ninth sternum (compare Figs 13 View FIGURES 8–13 and 97 View FIGURES 92–97 ).

Color. Body dark brown, with cream spots. Head brown, with few pale spots ( Fig. 94 View FIGURES 92–97 ), oblique dark brown bands from the inner margin of each compound eye to the epistomal sulcus, surrounding the antennal fossae. Compound eyes black, ocelli hyaline, with ochre centripetal crescents. Vertex light brown, with pale brown spots. Postclypeus with ochre V-shaped area. Genae dark brown with light brown spots. Postgenae light brown. Antennae: scape and pedicel dark brown, flagellomeres light brown, with apices cream. Maxillary palps brown. Tergal lobes of meso- and metathorax dark brown. Thoracic pleura brown, with ochre spots. Legs: fore-, middle coxae and trochanters brown, femora brown proximally; hind coxae, trochanters and femora light brow n, hind femur with preapical ochre spot; tibiae and tarsi 2-3 pale brown, tarsi 1 light brown. Forewings hyaline, with a marginal brown band from R1 to distal end of 1A, veins brown; pterostigma dark brown. Hindwings hyaline, veins brown. Abdomen dark brown, with small, pale cream irregular spots. Clunium brown; pigmented area of subgenital plate with arms dark brown, bridge pale brown ( Fig. 95 View FIGURES 92–97 ). Gonapophyses: v1 brown, with longitudinal band dark brown, v2+3 dark brown. IX sternum brown. Paraprocts and epiproct light brown.

Morphology. Head ( Fig. 94 View FIGURES 92–97 ) H/MxW: 1.38; compound eyes large, H/d: 3.80; IO/MxW: 0.79. Vertex at the same level of the upper border of the compound eyes; outer cusp of lacinial tips broad, with 5-6 denticles. Mx4/ Mx2: 1.13. Forewings ( Fig. 92 View FIGURES 92–97 ) L/W: 2.57; pterostigma: lp/wp: 4.78, elongate, wider in the middle; M six or sevenbranched, if M is six-branched, then M5 and M6 forked distally; areola postica: la/ha: 1.07, tall, broadly triangular, apically rounded. Hindwings ( Fig. 93 View FIGURES 92–97 ) l/w: 2.92; M four-branched. Subgenital plate ( Fig. 95 View FIGURES 92–97 ) wide, setose, with posterior border rounded. Gonapophyses ( Fig. 97 View FIGURES 92–97 ): v1 elongate, wide, acuminate and with microspicules on surface; v2+3 with a proximal slender heel, v2 with a row of 2-3 macrosetae; distal process long, sinuous and acuminate, bearing microspicules on surface. Ninth sternum ( Fig. 97 View FIGURES 92–97 ) wide, of three distinct areas, the middle one narrow, with extended ends, anterior area small, with a concavity posteriorly in the middle; posterior area large, semicircular. Paraprocts ( Fig. 96 View FIGURES 92–97 ) broadly triangular, with long and short setae posteriorly; sensory fields with 39–40 trichobothria on basal rosettes. Epiproct ( Fig. 96 View FIGURES 92–97 ) triangular, wide based, with long setae on sides and posteriorly, and a group of three macrosetae mesally.

Etymology. The specific epithet refers to the Putumayo Department, where the type was found.
