Type material: D eposited at Koenike’s collection, catalogue number Ppt. 1112 ( Koenike 1911).

Type locality: Germany: Delme River , close to Grossherzogtum Oldenburg, Delmenhorst ( Koenike 1911) .

Geographical distribution: Europe ( Di Sabatino et al. 2010).

Distribution in Portugal: North: International Minho River ( Cantallo et al. 2021), in Vila Nova de Cerveira municipality.

Material examined: 0/1/0; Vila Nova de Cerveira , Portugal; 41º56′12.768″N, 8º45′9.108″W; October 2019; coll. by C. Antunes and E. Martins; catalogue number NatMIP-CATr-0001 GoogleMaps .

Ecological notes: On the sandy bottom of low land streams and lakes ( Di Sabatino et al. 2010).

Remarks: First record mentioned for Portugal ( Cantallo et al. 2021).
