Material: 1 specimen (NHM.2003.685), ‘ TAIWAN 2001’ station CP130, 22º18.77' N, 120º6.99' E, 728– 709 m, 22 Aug 2001. 2 specimens (NHM.2003.686–687), ‘ TAIWAN 2003’ station CD 203, 22º0.2' N, 120º28.94' E, 635–868 m, 29 May 2003.

Remarks: Bamber (2002) has recently re­analyzed the distinctions between this Indo­ Pacific and North­east Atlantic species, C. macerrima Wilson, 1881 and C. gardineri Carpenter, 1907 . C. minor is distinguished from the other two species in having a long, tapering, upturning proboscis, a 5th palp article (P5) more than 1.9 times the length of P3, and P10 more than 1.7 times P9.
