Amphiodia sp.
Habitat: sediment, subtidal ( Attaran-Fariman & Beygmoradi 2016).
Persian Gulf and Gulf of Oman: Tis (16) (ibid.).
Indian Ocean: n/a
Remarks: As discussed below, the specimens erroneously reported as Amphipholis squamata by Attaran-Fariman & Beygmoradi (2016) belong in the genus Amphiodia instead. The specimen figured by them has a fully scaled disc, as is found in A. microplax , with a sharp edge that possibly bears spiny processes that are typical for A. microplax and A. obtecta ( Stöhr et al. 2010) . However, the figures are not detailed enough to allow assignment of the specimen to a species.
