Etymology. The specific epithet is a patronym in honor of Johannes Pachelbel (1653–1706), a German composer and organist, and one of the most important composers of the middle Baroque era.

Diagnosis. Males of Goloboffia pachelbeli sp. nov shares with G. vellardi the general aspect of the palpal bulb, but differ from them by a shorter, thicker and uniformly curved embolus ( Figs 56–57 View FIGURES 56–59 ) and by a more spinose metatarsi IV ( Fig. 54 View FIGURES 48–55 ); females differ from the other known species of Goloboffia by the ocular group occupying almost the entire cephalic width (0.93) ( Fig. 64 View FIGURES 60–65 ), in combination with the absence of spines on tarsi III and IV ( Figs 66–67 View FIGURES 66–70 ). Females also differ by the shape of the spermathecae with long straight ducts 1.5 longer than spermathecal head width, large oval lobes ( Fig. 70 View FIGURES 66–70 ).
