Range: —Andes from Venezuela to Bolivia (CO, LP, SC); Brazil.
Ecology: —Rare; saxicolous (rarely terrestrial) and rheophytic, usually on rocks of riverbeds or steep banks, in humid forests; 200–1500 m.
Notes: —Both this species and E. piloselloides have indistinct hydathodes and capitate-glandular hairs on the blades, but the latter are sparse and hard to find in E. horridulum .
