Range: —Andes from Ecuador to Bolivia (CO, LP).
Ecology: —Fairly common; terrestrial in grasslands, shrubby habitats, and among rocks, in humid páramo vegetation; (2600–) 3000–3950 m.
Notes: —All other scaly Elaphoglossum species (except E. mandonii ) have denticulate scales, at least on one side of the blades.
