Cyclodium View in CoL is sister to Polybotrya ( Moran & Labiak 2015) View in CoL . It is recognized by 1-pinnate or pinnate-pinnatifid blades, and (in Bolivia) round sori with peltate indusia. The indusia fall away early and are usually absent in mature sori. A neotropical genus with 10 species ( Smith 1986) and two known hybrids, both from Brazil, each involving a cross of C. meniscioides View in CoL with species of Polybotrya View in CoL ( Engels & Canestraro 2017, Schwartsburd et al. 2017).
