Ctenitis nervata (Fée) R.S.Viveros & Salino, Brittonia View in CoL 69: 320. 2017.
= Aspidium nervatum Fée, Cr. Vasc. Br. View in CoL 1: 136. 1869.
Range: —Southeastern Brazil, Bolivia (LP, SC).
Ecology: —Uncommon; terrestrial in montane forests, sometimes secondary forests; 900–1500 m.
Notes: —This name was unplaced by Christensen (1913), and surmised to be perhaps the same as C. pedicellata (Christ) Copel. , from southeastern Brazil, a name that has previously been applied to several Bolivian specimens by Smith ( Smith et al. 1999); Ctenitis nervosa has recently been resurrected ( Viveros & Salino 2017). It is related to C. submarginalis , and differs by the dark brown, almost blackish costae and rachis scales that are somewhat bullate at their bases, broader segments (6–8 mm wide at their base), stalked (3–5 mm) pinnae, and generally fewer (12–15) pinna pairs.
