Distribution: This widespread species, frequently misidentified as A. chiclayae Greene , is known from northern Argentina, Belize, Costa Rica, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Peru and Venezuela ( Rodriguez et al. 2018) It also occurs in Paraguay.

Comments: The examined specimens are the first records of this species from Paraguay (see Discussion).
