Stems (20-)30-60 cm. Middle cauline leaves 1-3 mm wide. Inner sepals 3*5-5*5 mm, obtuse. Pedicels deflexed. Capsule 3*5-5 mm. 2n =18. Throughout most o f the range o f the species but absent from the south-west.
