Type species. Fidicina aper Walker 1850: 87 View in CoL ( Cayenne , French Guiana).

Diagnosis. Species of Majeorona are distinguished by the prominent, stylate and anteriorly extended eyes, a head that is wider than the mesonotum, a pronotum that is shorter than the mesonotum, and timbal covers that are not concave dorsally.
