Chaetotaxy: genu II 2, 2/1-2/0, 1; genu III 1, 2/1-2/0, 1.
Specimens examined. Tucumán: San Miguel de Tucumán – Portal La Virginia (26°42'41.4''S, 64°57'44.5''W), 15-V-2007, on Nicotiana glauca (1Ψ); San Miguel de Tucumán – Vipos (26°28'34.2''S, 65°18'42.3''W), 15-V-2007, on Nicandra physaloides (1Ψ).

Specimens examined. Salta: Metán – Crestón (25°29'25.3''S, 64°58'28.10''W), 12-V-2007, on Vassobia breviflora (2Ψ); on Nicotiana glauca (1Ψ, 4 immatures). Tucumán: San Miguel de Tucumán – Vipos (26°28'34.2''S, 65°18'42.3''W), 15-V-2007, on Salpichroa origanifolia (1Ψ); on Solanum melongena (1Ψ); on Nicandra physaloides (9Ψ).
Previous records. Angola, Argentina [Tucumán ( Herrero 1984) and Buenos Aires ( Cedola 1999)], Barbados, Brazil, Canada, Canary Islands, Colombia, Cook Islands, Costa Rica, Cuba, Fiji, French Polynesia, Guadeloupe, Guatemala, Hawaii, Honduras, Jamaica, Les Saintes, Marie-Galante, Martinique, Mexico, Montenegro, Moto Quavarei, New Caledonia, Panama, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Saint-Martin, Tahiti, USA and Venezuela.
Remarks. Some of the specimens collected had only one pre-anal seta (the corresponding seta of the opposite side was off the shield). This type of variation was also reported for specimens from Guatemala (McMurtry 1983) and Peru (Guanilo et al. in press).
