Type host: Pseudotrapelus dhofarensis (Sauria: Agmaidae). Type locality: Oman (Dhofar, Ayoon ) .

Diagnosis. Gnathosoma . Swollen cheliceral part slightly shorter than slender cheliceral part. Fixed cheliceral digit with spinous process. Palpal femur with spine-like setae. Palpal tibia with short claw. Palpal tarsi with 3 setae. Subcapitulum without setae n. Hypostome with slightly flattened apex. Idiosoma 430–480 long and 770–845 wide. Dorsum. Anterior group consisting of 16–20 serrate setae, lateral group consisting of 7–10 serrate setae. Two pairs of slightly serrate setae and 3–4 pairs of latero-median serrate setae present posterior to lateral group. Medial part of idiosoma with 3 pairs of dorso-median setae: dm1 serrate, dm2 filiform, dm3 serrate and slightly apically expanded. Postero-lateral part of idiosoma with 2 pairs of apically expanded setae with minute spicules on apical part. Eyes present. Venter with smooth ventro-median setae vm1–vm3 (in holotype and 1 paratype additional unpaired seta vm4 observed). Genital slit situated mainly ventrally. Genital series represented by spine-like setae g1–g4; all genital setae subequal in length. Pseudanal series represented by 6 pairs of setae: ps1 smooth or very slightly serrate, ps2–ps6 paddle-shaped with minute spicules on apical margin. Legs chaetotaxy as in transvaalense group ( Table 1). All setae on each segment filiform, except for slightly plumose setae v”FI and dFII–III. Setation of tarsi I–IV as in group A ( Tab. 2). Setae tc’ of legs II–IV and setae a’, a”, u’, u”, vs’, vs” of legs I–IV smooth.

MALE. Gnathosoma as in female. Idiosoma 230–255 long, 465–510 wide. Dorsum with 3 groups of serrate setae: 16–17 pairs of antero-lateral setae, 4 pairs of medio-lateral setae and 3 pairs of dorso-median setae: dm1 25 long, dm2 and dm3 about 35 long. Eyes present. Aedeagus about 110 long, directed forward; genito-anal opening with 2 pairs of filiform setae. Venter. Setae vm1 filiform, vm2 and vm3 slightly serrate. Legs as in female.

DEUTONYMPH. Gnathosoma as in female. Idiosoma 355 long and 555 wide. Dorsum. Anterior part of idiosoma with 23 pairs of slightly serrate setae: anterior group with 16 setae, lateral group with 7 setae. Below lateral group 2 pairs of fine-pointed slightly serrate setae present. Medial part of idiosoma with 4 pairs of dorso-median setae: dm1–dm3 slightly serrate, setae dm4 slightly apically expanded. Venter. Setae vm1 and vm2 filiform, vm3 slightly serrate. Postero-lateral part of idiosoma with 5 pairs of setae of 2 types: short serrate setae and long tapered or apically expanded setae with minute spicules in apical part. Genital series represented by 4 pairs of spine-like setae g1–g4. Pseudanal series represented by 1 pair of spine-like setae ps1 and 4–6 pairs of paddle-shaped setae ps2–ps6 (2 unpaired setae ps present). Legs as in female.

Type material (examined). Female holotype and 4 female paratypes from Pseudotrapelus dhofarensis Melnikov and Pierson (Sauria: Agamidae ) ( CAS no. 227594), OMAN: Dhofar, Ayoon, 17º15’N, 53º54’E, 13 July 2003, coll. T. J. Papenfuss; 4 female, 1 deutonymph and 2 male paratypes from same host species ( ZISP no. 26979-26982), OMAN: Mirbat, 16º57’N 54º41’E, February 2013, coll. R. A. Nazarov.

Type material deposition. Holotype, 4 female, 1 deutonymph and 1 male paratypes in the ZISP, 3 female and 1 male paratypes in the AMU.

Hosts and distribution. This species is known only from Pseudotrapelus dhofarensis from Oman [Dhofar, Ayoon] ( Fajfer and Melnikov 2014).

Remarks. In the original description of this species setae a’ and a” of tarsi I are marked incorrectly as eupathidia and it’ and it” of tarsi I as simple setae ( Fajfer and Melnikov 2014) whereas the re-examination of P. dhofarensis shows that setae a’ and a ” are simple, and setae it’ and it ” of tarsi I are in form of eupathidia.
