Type host: Laudakia dayana (Sauria: Agamidae ). Type locality: India (Hardwar).

Description (based on original description made by Jack 1962a). FEMALE. Idiosoma . Dorsum with 3 pairs of filiform setae situated anteriorly, 9 pairs of filiform setae situated laterally, 2 pairs of filiform setae situated dorsomedially (setae dm1 shorter than dm2) and with 14 and 15 slightly apically expanded peripheral setae with minute serration in apical part situated posteriorly on right and left side of idiosoma , respectively. Eyes absent. Genital setae g1−g3 minute and situated ventrally; seta g4 most conspicuous and situated terminally. Pseudanal series represented by 4 pairs of slightly apically expanded setae with minute serration in apical part. Setae ps1 and ps2 situated ventrally, setae ps3 and ps4 dorsally.

Type material (not examined). Holotype from Laudakia dayana (Stoliczka) (Sauria: Agamidae ), INDIA: Uttarakhand state, Hardwar.

Type material deposition. Holotype is lost (Janet Beccaloni, personal communication).

Host and distribution. The species is known only from Laudakia dayana from India [Uttarakhand state, Hardwar] ( Jack 1962a).

Remarks. Although figure 16 presented in Jack 1962a shows that the palps of the species are at least five times longer than wide, this species shows also affinities to mites from the inermis group i.e. the antero-lateral setae are few in number and they seem to be arranged in two distinct groups ( Jack 1961).
