Host/Habitat. Bos taurus View in CoL (cattle), Camelus View in CoL sp. (camel), Capra hircus View in CoL (goat), Equus caballus View in CoL (horse), Ovis aries View in CoL (sheep), Sus scrofa domesticus (pig).

Distribution. Huguan, Linfen, Taiyuan, Wuxiang, Yangcheng, Yuncheng ( Liu et al. 2005); Jiaokou, Jixian, Xiangning ( Tian 1980); Jinzhong, Southeastern Shanxi, the south of Shanxi Province ( Liu et al. 1996); Shanxi ( Zhang et al. 1991; Liu et al. 1996; Liu 1997); Yuanqu ( Tian 1980; Yang et al. 1997); Yuncheng ( Liu et al. 2005); Xiaxian ( Liu et al. 2005; Wang et al. 1985).

Remarks. This species was recorded as Hyalomma detritum ( Tian 1980; Wang et al. 1985; Zhang et al. 1991; Liu et al. 1996; Liu 1997; Yang et al. 1997; Liu et al. 2005). It was also recorded as Hyalomma detritum albipictum (Schulze, 1919) by Huang (1960) and as Hyalomma detritum detritum Schulze, 1919 by Huang (1960), Zhang et al. (1991) and Yang et al. (1997). Huang (1960) recorded the genus name as Hyslomma [sic] on page 57.
