Remarks. Males of K. materna are characterized by a very robust palp, with P-2 dorsal margin in proximal part strongly protruding, and a prominent, anteriorly-directed ventral projection, P-4 about as long as P-2 (length ratio P-2/P-4, 0.9–1.2), without a ventral projection. Furthermore, the medioventral seta on IV-L-5 is long, strong and pointed, the distoventral seta hook-shaped. Females collected together with male K. materna differ noteworthy in palp shape, with P-4 rather slender (L/H ratio> 4.5) and distinctly longer than P-2+3. In addition to these characteristics, they differ from other Kongsbergia species in the straight ventral margin of P-4 and the position of the ventral extensions on P- 2 in central part of segment.
