Material examined. China: Yunnan: Xishuangbanna, Mengla County, Menglun Nature Reserve, leg. G. Zheng, canopy fogging ( IZCAS): 3 Ƥ, 1 3, Primary tropical seasonal rainforest (N21º55.038', E101º16.500', 558 m), 22 July 2007, G. Zheng (Zheng-sp469); 4 Ƥ, Primary tropical seasonal rain forest (N21º54.725’, E101º13.261’, 734 m), 8 August 2007 (Zheng-sp68); 3 Ƥ, Secondary tropical seasonal moist forest (N21º54.984', E101º16.982', 656 m), 10 August 2007 (Zheng-sp469-2); 8 Ƥ, Primary tropical seasonal rain forest (N21º57.445', E101º12.997', 744 m), 30 July 2007 (Zheng-sp711); 4 Ƥ, Primary tropical seasonal rainforest (N21º57.669', E101º11.893', 790 m), 7 August 2007 (Zheng-sp469-4); 1 3, Primary tropical seasonal rainforest (N21º57.445', E101º12.997', 744 m), 19–26 May 2007, by hand (Searching GBIII-4-19).

Diagnosis. This species can be separated from other congeneric species by the slender body and the shape of the palpal tibia ( Figs 34 View FIGURE 34 B–D, 35A–B).

Description. Female (a specimen labeled “Zheng-sp459-1”): Total length 7.35, Prosoma 2.25 long, 1.60 wide; opisthosoma 4.90 long, 1.10 wide. Carapace light yellow with light grayish brown stripes. Ocular area blackish brown. Eye measurements: AME 0.07, ALE 0.16, PME 0.15, PLE 0.12, AME-AME 0.08; AME-ALE 0.05; PME- PME 0.20; PME-PLE 0.17. Eye row width measurement: I 0.20, II 0.40, III 0.65, IV 0.47. Clypeus height 0.26. Sternum light yellow; chelicera yellow with 2 pro- (1 large, 1 small) and 1 large retromarginal teeth, labium and endites yellow. Legs slender with long spines. Leg measurements: I 13.80 (3.70, 4.80, 4.20, 1.10); II 12.60 (3.50, 4.40, 3.70, 1.00); III 9.00 (2.70, 3.00, 2.50, 0.80); IV 11.10 (3.40, 3.50, 3.30, 0.90), leg formula: 1243. Opisthosoma dorsally gray yellow with grayish-black chevron markings; laterally with grayish-white longitudinal stripes; ventrally grayish-brown.

Epigynum ( Figs 33 View FIGURE 33 B–E, 35C–D). Posterior sclerotized edge large, tongue-shaped, copulatory ducts curved, spermatheca with 2 chambers.

Palp ( Figs 34 View FIGURE 34 B–D, 35A–B). Palpal tibia with a large bowl-shaped depression retrolaterally, tibial apophysis large, median apophysis small, conductor long.

Variation. Total length: 3 5.80–7.00 (n=8); Ƥ 6.10–7.40 (n=30).

Distribution. China (Hainan, newly recorded here for Yunnan).

Remarks. This species is much different from other congeneric species in its general appearance (opisthosoma slender, few somatic hairs, light pigment) and the palpal tibia with a large depression and a large tibial apophysis.
