Type material ( CHINA: Yunnan, Xishuangbanna, Mengla County, Menglun Town, Menglun Nature Reserve, leg. G. Etymology. The specific name is and adjective from the Latin word pilulifera (small-ball-shaped), and refers to the shape of the spermatheca.

Diagnosis. This species can be separated from other congeneric species by the large RTA in the male palpus and the very small spermatheca of the females.

Description. Female (holotype): Total length 5.80. Prosoma 2.20 long, 1.90 wide; opisthosoma 3.30 long, 2.20 wide. Carapace yellowish brown with grayish black, grayish black scales. Ocular area grayish black with grayish white scales. Eye measurements: AME 0.15, ALE 0.24, PME 0.17, PLE 0.20, AME-AME 0.12; AME- ALE 0.10; PME-PME 0.40; PME-PLE 0.32. Eye row width measurement: I 0.28, II 0.70, III 1.15, IV 0.68. Clypeus height 0.56. Sternum light yellow; chelicera, labium and endites light brown, chelicera with 2 pro- (1 large, 1 small) and 1 small retromarginal teeth. Legs grayish brown with long spines. Leg measurements: I 8.15 (2.50, 3.00, 1.85, 0.80); II 7.60 (2.20, 2.80, 1.80, 0.80); III 5.55 (1.70, 2.00, 1.25, 0.60); IV 5.30 (1.50, 1.80, 1.35, 0.65), leg formula: 1234. Opisthosoma dorsally grayish yellow with grayish black spots; ventrally gray with grayish black marking.

Epigynum ( Figs 17 View FIGURE 17 B–C, 19C–D). Epigynum atrium wider than long, copulatory openings visible, spermatheca smaller than copulatory ducts.

Male (paratype, IZCAS-Ar. 19058): Total length 4.70. Prosoma 2.30 long, 2.00 wide; opisthosoma 2.20 long, 1.25 wide. Body color darker than in male. Eye measurements: AME 0.09, ALE 0.23, PME 0.15, PLE 0.15, AME- AME 0.12; AME-ALE 0.07; PME-PME 0.25; PME-PLE 0.30. Eye row width measurement: I 0.27, II 0.65, III 1.10, IV 0.63. Clypeus height 0.50. Leg measurements: I 7.75 (2.20, 2.85, 1.80, 0.90); II 7.30 (2.00, 2.85, 1.65, 0.80); III 5.30 (1.70, 1.75, 1.25, 0.60); IV 5.00 (1.50, 1.50, 1.30, 0.70), leg formula: 1234. Opisthosoma oval, dorsally grayish yellow; ventrally gray.

Palp ( Figs 18 View FIGURE 18 B–D, 19A–B). VTA digitiform, RTA large, wide, nearly rectangular; conductor wide, embolus flange with a basal apophysis.

Variation. Total length: 3 4.00–4.80 (n=5), Ƥ 4.20–6.00 (n=17).
