Bothriomyrmex crosi Santschi, 1919b: 212 , Pl. III, Figs 32–37, w, q, m.

Current status: Bothriomyrmex crosi View in CoL .

Type locality(-ies): “ Algérie: Mascara (Dr. Cros)”.

Original Karawajew labels: 2 w, “ Algérie, Mascara, / Dr. Cros, / 1924”, “186. Coll. / Karavaievi”, “ Bothriomyrmex / crosi Santschi, / typus”, “ Paratypus / Bothriomyrmex / crosi Santschi ”; 2 w, “ Algérie, Mascara, / Dr. Cros, / 1924”, “186. Coll. / Karavaievi”, “ Bothriomyrmex / crosi Santschi , / typus”, “ Syntypus ”; 6 w on 3 pins, “186. Coll. / Karavaievi”, “ Bothriomyrmex / crosi Santschi ”.

Material: SYNTYPES, 10 w ( CASENT0917110 ) (Box 28).

Notes. Karawajew gave the date of the collection of the specimens in Mascara as 1924, but we suspect that this may be a misspelling, as on other labels Karawajew noted that these specimens are “typus”, and we believe the mentioned specimens are true syntypes of B. crosi .
