Type material. Holotype: TAIWAN: 3, " Taiwan, Nantou Hsien, Dehuashe, Tuch Hsiang, 8–11 IV 2004, F.I.T., Tomoyuki TSURU leg." (white, printed) ( NSMT).

Diagnosis. Body length 1 mm; vestiture relatively long and dense; suberect to erect; lateral margins of elytra with several long, erect setae; head in males non-modified, with frontal glands; aedeagus in lateral view with apex strongly bent ventrally.

Description. BL 1.00. Body of male ( Fig. 35 View FIGURES 33 – 38 ) reddish-brown, covered with yellowish vestiture.

Head large, HL 0.15, HW 0.25; vertex and frons convex; ocelli well visible; frontal glands present, each slightly larger than single ommatidium; eyes very large, coarsely faceted and strongly convex. Punctation on frons and vertex composed of very small, indistinct, sparse punctures discernible under magnification 80x; setae short but distinct, moderately sparse, suberect. Antennae short, with very slender flagellum and rapidly broadened two terminal antennomeres, AnL 0.47; antennomere I 1.6x as long as broad; II distinctly narrower and slightly shorter than I, twice as long as broad; III much narrower than II, 1.2x as long as broad; IV as narrow as II but 1.3x as long as broad; V as narrow as IV but 1.6x as long as broad; VI as narrow as V but distinctly shorter, 1.3x as long as broad; VII minimally broader than VI and slightly longer, 1.4x as long as broad; VIII as broad as VII but distinctly shorter, 1.2x as long as broad; IX slightly broader and much longer than VIII, 1.8x as long as broad; X much broader and slightly longer than IX, much broader than long; XI as broad as X and distinctly longer, 1.2x as long as broad.

Pronotum subquadrate in shape, broadest near anterior third, PL 0.30, PW 0.39; anterior margin broadly, weakly rounded; sides strongly rounded in anterior third, slightly narrowing posteriorly up to just anterior to middle, then nearly parallel and distinctly microserrate; hind angles blunt and nearly right; posterior margin with two broad and shallow lateral emarginations and short and deep median one; base of pronotum with four small but deep and distinct pits forming two lateral pairs. Pronotal disc covered with very small, but very dense, distinct and sharply marked punctures, on central part of pronotum separated by distances 0.5–1.5x puncture diameter; vestiture dense and relatively long, suberect; additionally each lateral margin bears two long setae located near broadest place and slightly anterior to hind angle, and posterior margin bears two long median setae, each located opposite anterior corner of scutellum.

Elytra broadest distinctly anterior to middle, EL 0.55, EW 0.46, EI 1.19; basal pit on each elytron small but distinct; humeral calli well marked, each separated from internal region of elytron by short, relatively narrow and deep groove running from basal pit posteriorly and toward lateral margin; apices of elytra separately rounded. Punctation similar to that on pronotum; vestiture slightly sparser and more erect than that on pronotum; additionally each elytron bears four long setae along lateral margin (near humerus, in broadest place, near posterior third, and near posterior fourth). Hind wings well developed.

Legs slender, long, pro- and metatibiae straight, mesotibiae slightly recurved.

Aedeagus ( Figs. 41, 42 View FIGURES 39 – 44 ) elongate, AeL 0.24; in ventral view broadest near base, with rapidly narrowing, subtriangular, blunt apex; in lateral view apical part is very narrow and strongly bent ventrally; internal armature symmetrical, with bell-shaped central complex; parameres slender, not reaching apex of median lobe, each bearing three short apical setae.

Female unknown.

Distribution. Central Taiwan, Nantou County.

Etymology. The name of the new species refers to similarities between this species and C. fujianus , especially in the shape of the aedeagus.

Remarks. The aedeagus of this species is very similar to that of C. fujianus , but it clearly differs in the shape and composition of the internal armature, and its apical part in lateral view is strongly bent ventrally, whereas in C. fujianus the apex is straight.
