Description. Length of males 6.5–7.5 mm, females 8.5–9.0 mm.
Female genitalia. Abdominal sternite VII ( Fig. 44 View FIGURES 44 – 55 ), in ventral view, slightly broader than long; posterior margin forming rounded median lobe; lateral margins approximately parallel; surface with few setae mostly on anterior half. Internal sternite VIII without sclerites. Pygofer ( Fig. 45 View FIGURES 44 – 55 ), in lateral view, well produced, longer than tall; posterior margin rounded; surface with macrosetae on posterior portion and extending anteriorly along ventral margin, attaining basal margin. Valvifers I ( Fig. 46 View FIGURES 44 – 55 ), in lateral view, nearly fanshaped, posterodorsal margin nearly angulate and posteroventral margin broadly rounded. Valvifers II ( Fig. 54 View FIGURES 44 – 55 ) with small group of clustered setae near articulation point. Valvulae I, in ventral view ( Figs 93 and 94 View FIGURES 93 – 98 ), forming broad concavity (BC) between anterior margins, with membranous area in concavity; in lateral view ( Figs 47–49 View FIGURES 44 – 55 ), with dorsal and ventral margins nearly rectilinear behind basal curvature, but ventral margin distinctly curved dorsally near apex; dorsal sculptured area extending from basal curvature to apex, broader on median portion, formed mostly by scale-like processes arranged in oblique lines; ventral sculptured area with scale-like processes arranged in lines on apical portion; ventral interlocking device distinct on basal 1/3 of shaft; apex of shaft acute; dorsal margin forming small denticles on apical portion of shaft. Valvulae II ( Figs 50–53 View FIGURES 44 – 55 ), in lateral view, with dorsal margin approximately rectilinear behind basal curvature, ventral margin curved dorsally near apex; apical portion with dorsal margin slightly concave; apex subacute; preapical prominence indistinct; shaft bearing approximately 35 teeth from basal portion to apex; first tooth large, triangular and with long anterior ascending portion, followed by about 10 well produced subtriangular teeth, the latter followed by rectangular ones; each tooth with denticles; apex of shaft with dentate dorsal margin longer than ventral margin; ducts extending toward teeth and toward apical shaft portion. Gonoplacs ( Fig. 55 View FIGURES 44 – 55 ), in lateral view, with basal half narrow and apical half moderately expanded, apex subacute, surface with few setae on apical portion.
Distribution. China (Guangdong, Hainan, Guizhou); Vietnam.
Remarks. Young (1986) provided descriptions of the coloration, external features and genitalia of female specimens, but the female genitalia features were briefly described and only abdominal sternite VII was illustrated. Li & Wang (1992) and Yang & Li (1999) provided descriptions of the male genitalia. We provided herein detailed descriptions and illustrations of the female genitalia.
