Stenatkina albopennis Yang: Yang, Meng & Li, 2007 View in CoL : 465

Description. Length of male 8.8 mm, females 10.2–10.8 mm.

Female genitalia. Abdominal sternite VII ( Fig. 68 View FIGURES 68 – 79 ), in ventral view, slightly broader than long; posterior margin forming three lobes, median broad lobe more produced than lateral lobes; lateral margins slightly convergent posteriorly; surface with scattered small setae. Internal sternite VIII membranous, without sclerites. Pygofer ( Fig. 69 View FIGURES 68 – 79 ), in lateral view, moderately produced; posterior margin subacute, posterodorsal margin somewhat truncate; surface with macrosetae on posterior portion and extending anteriorly along ventral margin, attaining basal portion. Valvifers I, in lateral view, nearly fanshaped, posterior margin rounded. Valvifers II ( Fig. 78 View FIGURES 68 – 79 ) with small group of clustered setae near articulation point. Valvulae I, in ventral view ( Fig. 98 View FIGURES 93 – 98 ), with bases rounded; in lateral view ( Figs 70–73 View FIGURES 68 – 79 ), shaft gradually broadening toward apex, with dorsal margin slightly convex and ventral margin nearly rectilinear; dorsal sculptured area extending from basal curvature to apex, broader on apical half, formed by scale-like processes arranged in oblique lines; ventral sculptured area with scale-like processes arranged in lines on apical portion, also with distinct scale-like processes clustered on median portion; ventral interlocking device distinct on basal 1/3 of shaft; apex of shaft acute; dorsal margin not forming denticles on apical portion of shaft. Valvulae II ( Figs 74–77 View FIGURES 68 – 79 ), in lateral view, moderately expanded beyond basal curvature, with dorsal margin convex and ventral margin concave; apex acute; preapical prominence present; shaft bearing approximately 42 teeth distributed from beginning of expanded portion to apex; basal ascending teeth usually with lower anterior portion (LAP), followed by subtriangular ones with lower posterior portion (LPP); each tooth bearing denticles; apex with dentate dorsal margin almost as long as dentate ventral margin, posteroventral margin with distinct concavity; ducts extending toward teeth and toward apical portion of shaft. Gonoplacs ( Fig. 79 View FIGURES 68 – 79 ), in lateral view, with basal 3/5 narrow, apical 2/5 with ventral margin nearly horizontal and dorsal margin descending gradually toward apex; apex rounded, surface with few setae on apicoventral margin.

Distribution. China (Yunnan).

Remarks. We provide the first description and illustrations of the female genitalia of this species, not included with the original description ( Yang et al. 2007).

Material examined. Holotype, male, China, Yunnan Province, Yingjiang county, Tongbiguan, 20 July 2002, coll. Song Hong-yan. Paratypes, 3 females, similar data to holotype but coll. Yang Mao-fa.
