Key to East Asian genera of Hemerodromiinae

1. Postpedicel hardly longer than wide, stylus as long or shorter. Thorax distinctly elongate; mesonotum with only weak setae dorsally, anterior dorsocentral always very weak. Laterotergite without katatergital setae. Male terminalia not reflexed anteriorly over abdomen [ Hemerodromiini View in CoL ]........................................................................................ 2

- Postpedicel usually longer than wide, stylus always longer. Thorax rather quadrate; mesonotum usually with strong setae (if anterior dorsocentrals weak, thorax is distinctly quadrate). Laterotergite with katatergital setae. Male terminalia reflexed anteriorly over abdomen [ Chelipodini View in CoL ].................................................................................................. 3

2. Cell dm present ................................................................................................................................ Chelifera View in CoL Macquart

- Cell dm absent ........................................................................................................................... Hemerodromia View in CoL Meigen

3. Anal vein absent; CuA2 reaching (or almost reaching) margin; cells br and bm more or less equal in length, quadrate apically with crossveins r-m and bm-cu in line or nearly so ................................... Achelipoda View in CoL Yang, Zhang & Zhang

- Anal vein present (if sometimes weak); CuA2 not reaching margin; cell br distinctly longer than bm, crossveins clos- ing them not in line and bm produced posteroapically ................................................................................................. 4

4. Cell dm open (crossvein dm-cu absent)................................................................................. Phyllodromia Zetterstedt View in CoL
