Distribution: Honduras and Cuba, east to Dominica and south to Guyana,? Brazil (Santa Catarina).
Remarks. The female type specimen of M. cinerea is lost. A male and female from Guyana were the only pair of the specimens available from a single collecting event that fit the original description of M. cinerea and were chosen as representatives of the species. Some specimens have been collected closer to the type locality, but never both sexes together, which made the allocation of the correct male to the original description of the female difficult. Milichiella cinerea has been reared from dry frass in a basal tree hole. Questionable specimens were collected through canopy fogging in humid forest and in Malaise traps and pans.
