Range: —Southeastern Venezuela; Andes from northwestern Venezuela to Bolivia (CO, LP).
Ecology: —Uncommon; along humid forest edges, along roads, on landslides, and along streams, favoring shady habitats; 1950–2250 m, elsewhere at 1700–3000 m.
