General distribution. Europe: Greece (Crete, Cyclades); West Asia: Cyprus, Palestine, southwestern Turkey (Zapparoli 1991; Negrea 1997; Stoev 1997).

Chorotype. East Mediterranean.

Habitats. Maquis with Pinus , Acacia and Cupressus , habitats with Cistus , meadows with Olea , Quercus and Ceratonia , mixed forests with Pinus , Quercus and Acer , sand dunes.

Altitudinal range: 0–1700 m.
