General distribution. West Asia: Cyprus, Iran, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, southern Turkey (Attems 1926, 1951; Zapparoli 1991, 1994, 1999).

Chorotype. East Mediterranean.

Habitats. Maquis formations with Pinus , Acacia and Cupressus , patches with Eucalyptus , cultivations with vineyard, phryganic habitats, grasslands and dunes, meadows with Olea , Quercus and Ceratonia , mixed forests with Pinus and Quercus , open fields with Ceratonia .

Altitudinal range: 0–1920 m.
