Ankola Evans 1937 View in CoL

This is a monotypic genus restricted to tropical Africa. When he described it, Evans (1937) recognised that it is closely allied to Pardaleodes . The early stages, particularly the pupa and its shelter support this view; there are also similarities in the caterpillars, although the head markings are rather different. MJWC’s food plant record of a ‘climbing grass’ in Larsen (1991) is the only published life history observation for the genus.
