Solenysa melloteei Oi, 1960: 153 , figs 52–54. (misidentification).
Type material. Male holotype (NSMT-Ar. 2776), with label: Mt. Ibuki (35.20o N, 136.20o E), Shiga Prefecture, Honshu, Japan, coll. Ryoji Oi, 11. XI. 1957.
Etymology. The specific name comes from the Latin partibilis (divided) in reference to the deeply divided third branch of lamella characteristica of male palp.
Diagnosis. The male of Solenysa partibilis sp. nov. is diagnosed by the reduced second branch of lamella characteristica and the bifurcated third branch ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 D). The female is unknown.
Description of male holotype. The new species with typical Solenysa appearance ( Tu & Li, 2006b: figs 21–22). Chelicera with four promarginal and three retromarginal teeth. For additional somatic characters see the description of the genus Solenysa ( Tu & Li, 2006b).
Male palp ( Figs 2 View FIGURE 2 A–C). Tibia, cymbium, paracymbium, Solenysa tegular triangle, and embolic division generally as in S. reflexilis sp. nov. Lamella characteristica second one (LC2) dragging backwards, then folded back and suddenly reduced; third one (LC3) deeply divided, both long finger-shaped, posterior one well-sclerotized. Terminal apophysis characterized by large bowl-shaped terminal sclerite located between anterior and posterior terminal apophyses; anterior terminal apophysis reduced to small apophysis; posterior one fingershaped and bifid.
Female. Unknown.
