Distribution: United States: AZ, CA ( Provancher 1886, Van Duzee 1917, Norland 1931, Torre-Bueno 1939b), FL, OK ( Arnold & Drew 1988), TX. ( Mexico, Central America, West Indies, South America)

Comments: Froeschner (1988) listed Colorado for this species, but we have not been able to locate the source of this record. It is possible that an early record of ‘Cal.’ was misinterpreted as ‘Col.’. We do not believe that this species occurs in Colorado.
