Eocanthecona furcellata ( Wolff, 1811)

Distribution: United States: FL. (Old World)

Comments: According to Froeschner (1988), several thousands of these insects were released in Florida during the early 1980s as a potential biological control agent against the Colorado potato beetle and the eastern tent caterpillar. Recovery has not yet been reported.
