Remarks
These specimens resemble E. mollis , but they do not show the spiny tubercle on the lateral processes as represented by Carpenter (1904) and Müller & Krapp (2009). The male femur presents at least 25 pores. Only two specimens were collected: one female and a male leg. The analysis of CO1 sequences confirmed that the male leg belongs to the same species as the female specimen, making available characters of the cement gland pores. However, in the absence of ovigers, a species description would be incomplete. Therefore we prefer to keep this species as unnamed until new material becomes available. The two specimens were collected at the same location, north of Martinique.
Depth range
78– 80 m.
