Psalmopoeus ecclesiasticus Pocock, 1903

Material examined. Female from Ecuador, Esmeraldas province, San Lorenzo, Comunidad La Ceiba (01.12504 -78.65616) 207 m, 30 May 2019, hand collected attached to dead leaves from banana in secondary forest, E. Tapia, ECFN 1351 ( QCAZ) .

Description. See Cifuentes & Bertani (2022).

Diagnosis. Live coloration, golden-reddish ( Fig. 7A, B ); two spermathecae with short membranous base; elongated (2x as long as wide), strongly curved inward, with two folds; apical end digitiform (1.6x longer than wide); with one to four oval sub-apical lobe ( Fig. 8C ).

Distribution. Ecuador: Esmeraldas ( Map. 1 ).
