Diagnosis. H. musimontium differs from congeners by some gonopodal structures, viz., 1) simple, rounded posterior lamella not bent down in an extensions (vs. bilobed posterior lamella in H. faucium , H. filicis , H. inflata and H. gru- beri sp. nov.; posterior lamella with distal notch in H. flavescens and H. hungarica ; posterior lamella ear-shaped and bent down in an extensions in H. fonticulorum and H. germanica ), 2) several teeth on posterodistal margin of mesal process (vs. mesal process knife-like with posterobasal tooth in H. vidinensis or posterodistal margin of mesal process with one strong tooth in H. germanica ) 3) absence of anterior lateral process (vs. developed in H. cyanopida , H. lacusnigri , H. intermedia , H. microcorna , H. makarovi sp. nov., and H. plasana ).

Etymology. Strasser (1937) named this species after the type locality Monte Musi (môns =mountain). Since (musi)montium is a Latin genitive plural, the species name should remain musimontium although Haasea is feminine gender.

Type material examined: Lectotype ♂ ( MHNG), here designated, body in two parts, mounted on cardboard; two microslides: 1) Orobainosoma musimontium Stra. 22.10.1934. Musi. Torretal. Friaul. 1040 m., anterior and posterior gonopods, 2) Orobainosoma musimontium Stra. 22.10.1934. Musi. Torretal. Friaul. 1040 m., leg-pairs 6, 7, 10 & 11. Paralectotypes ( MHNG): 1 ♀, alcohol material, Orobainosoma musimontium Strass. , det. K. Strasser, Italie (Udine): Vallée Torr. Torre, (Musi, Vedronza, Tarcento), 250–1200 m; 1 ♀, mounted on cardboard together with lectotype.

Distribution ( Figs 38 View FIGURE 38 , 41 View FIGURE 41 ). Italy: known only from its type locality, Monte Musi in Triveneto, near Lusevera, Udine ( Strasser 1937).

Comment. Only one male and two females of this species are known.
