Diagnosis. This species is similar to L. laticeps (Schenck) from Europe. It is separated from L. laticeps by the female T2 without lineolation and the male mesoscutellm with coarse rugulae. In contrast, in L. laticeps , the female T2 lineolate on apical half and the male mesoscutellum reticulate-punctate ( Murao & Tadauchi 2007).

Distribution. North Korea, South Korea, Russian Far East, China, Japan.

Flight period in South Korea. Female: April to May. Males have not been recorded from South Korea. In Japan, males are collected from July to September (Murao 2014).

Flower records in South Korea. This species has been recorded visiting the following at least 10 plant species in 7 families: Asteraceae : Taraxacum spp. Brassicaceae : Brassica spp.; Capsella bursa-pastoris ; Capsella sp. Caryophyllaceae : Sagina japonica . Ericaceae : Rhododendron sp. Plantaginaceae : Veronica persica . Rosaceae : Potentilla hebiichigo ; Potentilla sp.; Spiraea sp.
