Originally described from Brazil. Also reported from Argentina, Bolivia, and Paraguay ( Oliva, 1996); however, additional confirmation of the records from Argentina and Bolivia are needed. Confirmation of the Paraguay record ( H. johannapietersenae View in CoL jr. syn.) was given in Perkins (2019a). Locality and deposition data records have been published for Ecuador ( Perkins 2020b). Records from Peru are given below. Habitus and male genitalia illustrations are given in Perkins (2019a).
