( Figures 56 View FIGURE 56 , 101 View FIGURE 101. 48–59 )

Description. Holotype. Female. Body length 2.5 mm, fore wing length 2.9 mm.

Head. Transverse in dorsal view, 2.0× as wide as long, nearly as wide as mesoscutum. Vertex between eye and posterior ocellus slightly shiny with indistinct small puncture. Temple finely transversely aciculated at bottom, dull and shallowly punctate, strongly constricted. Face nearly 0.8× as high as wide, dull with small shallow punctures, inner margin of eyes subparallel-sided. Ocelli not large, posterior tangent to anterior ocellus almost touching posterior ocelli, distance between fore and hind ocellus as long as diameter of hind ocellus, POL:OD:OOL=4.5:2.0:5.5. Antenna slightly shorter than body length, closely articulated, penultimate flagellomere cubic.

Mesosoma. Length:width:height = 52.0:31.0:35.0. Disc of mesonotum slightly shiny, with strong punctures, interspaces weakly larger than diameter of puncture, striate-punctation at posterior end of notaulic courses. Scutellar sulcus straight, wide with sparse carinae in between. Scutellum shiny and polished entirely, median length slightly shorter than basal width, thus much narrower behind. Lateral polished field of scutellum reaching over half length of scutellum. Propodeum dull, strongly rugose entirely, areola oval-like, with medial keel at basal third, without costulae, but spiracle distinctly enclosed by keels. Mesopleuron shiny, dull with strong, coarse punctures at very anterior parts.

Legs. Hind coxa shiny, smooth and impunctate. Spines on outer side of third tibia short and dense. Inner spurs of hind tibia nearly half length of hind basitarsus, outer spur 1/3. Basitarsus of hind leg as long as tarsomeres 2–4 combined, claws of normal size.

Wings. Pterostigma 2.4× as long as its widest part. Vein 1-R1 1.2× as long as pterostigma, 3.0× as long as its distance from apex of marginal cell. Vein r arising from apex of pterostigma, slightly oblique outwards, weakly shorter than width of pterostigma, 1.5× longer than 2-SR, distinctly angled at junction, 2-M 3/4 length of 2-SR, as long as 1-SR, m-cu as long as r, 2-SR+M as long as 2-SR. First discal cell of fore wing much wider, 1.3× wider than high. Second submarginal cell of hind wing 1.4× wider than high. Vein cu-a weakly curved. Hind wing not broad, length of 1-M nearly as long as distance between its distal extremity and apex of vannal lobe, and vannal lobe beyond its widest part straight and hairless.

Metasoma. 0.9× as long as mesosoma. T1 strongly converged from base, long, 3.0× longer than hind width, concave at basal third, turned-over part dull, strongly rugose, weakly concave and weakly rugulose apical-medially, and apical tubercle small and polished. T2 slightly shiny, subtriangular and slightly uneven posteriorly, 3.3× wider than long in the middle, strongly curved into T3 apically. T3 2.0× longer than T2. Tergites posterior to T2 polished, shiny, and pubescent. Hypopygium slightly longer than apex of metasoma. Ovipositor sheath as long as length of hind tibia, slightly narrower, hairs slightly shorter and sparser.

Colour. Black. Tegula black. Palpi dingy yellow and spurs pale yellowish. Antenna and ovipositor sheath dark brown to black. Labrum and mandible dark brown. Legs black, except apical half of fore femur, fore tibia with tarsus, apex of mid femur, mid tibia with tarsus, apical fifth of hind tibia more or less fumous. Wing membrane hyaline, weakly brownish, C+SC+R, 1-R1 and upper border of pterostigma brown, other alar veins more or less brownish, pterostigma light brown.

Variation. Body length 2.3–2.8 mm, fore wing length 2.6–3.0 mm.

Male. Body length 2.1–2.4 mm, fore wing length 2.5–2.8 mm. Similar to female mostly, except: T1 narrower apically; T2 longer, 2.7× wider than long in the middle; and penultimate flagellomere 2.0× longer than wide.

Distribution. China (Guangxi, Guizhou, Hainan, Henan, Shandong, Yunnan, Zhejiang).

Etymology. The specific name “ magastigma ” derives from the Latin “magus” and “stigma”, referring to the large pterostigma.

Remarks. This species is similar to A. galleriae Wilkinson , but differs in the following: costulae absent (present, though, more or less wanting in latter); areola without distinct V-shaped areola (with V-shaped areola in latter); and T1 constricted from base (from almost half length of T 1 in latter).
