Apanteles cocotis Wilkinson, 1934: 152 . Holotype ♀ (examined)— Java, Indonesia [NHM, Fig. 104f ].

Diagnosis. Edge of vannal lobe beyond its widest point without fringe of hairs; penultimate flagellomere one and a third times longer than wide; hind femur reddish yellow; vertex between ocelli and eye-margin, and temples, very shiny, almost smooth; mesoscutum shiny with fine punctures; areolation of propodeum not strong, costulae weak, and more or less absent; metacarp very long, fully 7.0 as long as its distance from apex of marginal cell; r obliquely placed on pterostigma and a well-marked angle between it and 2-SR; T1 strongly narrowed towards apex, shiny and weakly sculptured; wings markedly and evenly darkened; spines along upper part of outer side of hind tibia short, stubby, very dense.

Host. It has been collected in male flower of coconut ( Wilkinson, 1934).

Remarks. Characters of the examined specimens mostly agree with the published description and type specimen, except for the brownish wings ( Fig. 27b ).
