( Figures 7 View FIGURE 7 , 98 View FIGURE 98. 1–16 )

Description. Holotype. Female. Body length 2.5 mm, fore wing length 3.4 mm.

Head. Transverse in dorsal view, 2.1× as wide as long, 0.8× as wide as mesoscutum. Vertex between eye and posterior ocellus slightly shiny, rough with minute punctures. Temple dull, rugose-punctate, slightly constricted. Face subquadrate, dull, rugulose or striate-punctate, inner margin of eyes subparallel-sided, pubescent. Ocelli large, posterior tangent to anterior ocellus virtually transecting posterior ocelli, distance between fore and hind ocellus distinctly shorter than diameter of hind ocellus, POL:OD:OOL=5.5:2.8:4.8. Antenna distinctly longer than body length, somewhat bristly, weakly closely articulated, penultimate flagellomere 1.5× longer than wide.

Mesosoma. Length:width:height = 50.0:41.0:40.0. Disc of mesonotum much wide, 1.7× wider than long in the middle, slightly shiny with dense punctures, interspaces smaller than diameter of puncture, punctures not confluent or without any striation at end of notaulic courses. Scutellar sulcus weakly curved, narrow with dense carinae inside. Scutellum shiny and polished entirely, except for some extremely shallow punctures, much wide apically, median length slightly shorter than basal width. Lateral polished field of scutellum reaching over half length of scutellum. Propodeum short, shiny and smooth, save for some superficial punctures anterio-laterally, areolation undefined, costulae absent, spiracle partly enclosed by posterior keels, with much radiate carinae around nucha, elsewhere polished. Mesopleuron shiny, anterior part with fine punctures.

Legs. Hind femur 3.2× longer than wide. Hind coxa highly shiny and polished above (basally). Spines on outer side of third tibia relatively dense. Inner spurs of hind tibia fully 3/5 length of hind basitarsus, outer spur 2/5. Basitarsus of hind leg slightly shorter than tarsomeres 2–4 combined (14.0:16.0), claws of normal size.

Wings. Pterostigma 2.6× as long as its widest part. Vein 1-R1 weakly longer than pterostigma, 7.0× as long as its distance from apex of marginal cell. Vein r arising slightly behind the middle of pterostigma, evenly curved with 2-SR, 2-M slightly shorter than 2-SR+M, the latter as long as 1-SR, and cu-a slightly longer than 1-SR. First discal cell of fore wing weakly wider than high. Second submarginal cell of hind wing 1.3× wider than high. Vein cu-a curved. Hind wing broad, length of 1-M slightly shorter than distance between its distal extremity and apex of vannal lobe, and vannal lobe beyond its widest part concave and without setae.

Metasoma. 0.8× as long as mesosoma. T1 strongly constricted from base, short, 2.3× longer than hind width, concave at basal half, turned-over part highly shiny, polished, except for some superficial punctures laterally, longitudinal trough absent. T2 shiny and polished, triangular, 3.2× wider than long in the middle, nearly straight apically. Tergites posterior to T2 shiny, smooth, sparsely pubescent. Hypopygium not longer than apex of metasoma. Ovipositor sheath 3/5 length of hind basitarsus. Ovipositor thin, without apical attenuation.

Colour. Black. Tegula dark brown. Palpi and spurs pale yellowish. Scape and pedicel yellowish brown. Flagellum and ovipositor sheath brown. Labrum and mandible reddish brown. Legs dark brown, except for leg, apex of middle femur and middle tibia with tarsus bright yellow, basal half of hind tibia and hind tarsus light reddish yellow. Wing membrane distinctly brownish, C+SC+R, 1-R1, pterostigma, r, 2-SR and 2-M deep brown, the rest more or less brown.

Male. Unknown.

Material examined. Holotype: 1♀, Chebaling, Shixing , Guangdong, 2002.V.25, Xu Zaifu, No. 20051490.

Distribution. China (Guangdong).

Etymology. The specific name “ annosus ” derives from the Latin, referring to the face rugulose or striate-punctate.

Remarks. This species is similar to A. daimenes Nixon , but differs in the following: distance between posterior ocelli slightly more than distance between one posterior ocelli and eye-margin (distinctly less in latter); face dull, rugulose or striate-punctate (shiny, smooth in latter); and propodeum without areolation (with almost complete areolation in latter).
