Description. Holotype. Female. Body length 2.5 mm, fore wing length 2.5 mm.

Head. Transverse in dorsal view, 1.9× as wide as long, 1.1× as wide as mesoscutum. Vertex between eye and posterior ocellus with somewhat satin-like sheen, impunctate. Temple slightly rough and impunctate, strongly constricted. Face 0.8× as high as wide, dull with indefinite punctures, inner margin of eyes subparallel-sided, sparsely pubescent. Ocelli not large, posterior tangent to anterior ocellus just touching posterior ocelli, distance between fore and hind ocellus as long as diameter of hind ocellus, POL:OD:OOL=5.0:2.0:4.0. Antenna slightly shorter than body length, weakly closely articulated, penultimate flagellomere 1.6× longer than wide.

Mesosoma. Length:width:height = 40.0:24.0:28.5. Disc of mesonotum dull, rugose-punctate, interspaces not smaller than diameter of puncture, punctures contiguous along notaulic courses. Scutellar sulcus weakly curved, narrow with sparse carinae inside. Scutellum shiny and polished entirely, median length not shorter than basal width. Lateral polished field of scutellum reaching over half length of scutellum. Propodeum dull and rugose-punctate anterio-laterally, areolation well defined, costulae narrow, spiracle strongly enclosed by posterior keels, rough with rugosities inside areolation and posterio-laterally. Mesopleuron not shiny, anterior part rugose-punctate with fine strigulations on sternaulus.

Legs. Hind femur 3.0× longer than wide. Hind coxa dull, rough and weakly rugulose above (basally). Spines on outer side of third tibia not dense. Inner spurs of hind tibia nearly half length of hind basitarsus, outer spur 0.3. Basitarsus of hind leg about as long as tarsomeres 2–4 combined, claws of normal size.

Wings. Pterostigma 3.4× as long as its widest part. Vein 1-R1 1.2× longer than pterostigma, 5.0× as long as its distance from apex of marginal cell. Vein r arising slightly behind the middle of pterostigma, nearly perpendicular to the latter, as long as width of pterostigma, r indistinctly longer than 2-SR, indistinctly angled at junction, 2-M half length of 2-SR, 1-SR as long as 2-SR+M, and cu-a as long as 2-SR. First discal cell of fore wing nearly 1.3× wider than high. Second submarginal cell of hind wing 1.6× wider than high. Vein cu-a curved. Hind wing broad, 1-M much shorter than distance between its distal extremity and apex of vannal lobe, and vannal lobe beyond its widest part straight and without setae.

Metasoma. 1.2× as long as mesosoma. T1 parallel-sided, short, 1.2× longer than hind width, concave at basal third, turned-over part transverse, dull, rugulose-punctate, longitudinal trough shallow and broad, and apical tubercle indistinct, somewhat shiny and smooth. T2 dull, rough, and weakly rugulose entirely, transverse, 3.4× wider than long in the middle, curved into T3 apically. T3 1.5× longer than T2, dull, anterior part uneven and weakly rugulose as T2. Tergites posterior to T3 shiny, smooth, pubescent. Hypopygium slightly longer than apex of metasoma. Ovipositor sheath 1.2× length of hind tibia. Ovipositor thin, without apical attenuation.

Colour. Black. Tegula dark brown. Palpi and spurs pale yellowish. Antenna and ovipositor sheath dark brown. Labrum and mandible reddish brown. Legs bright reddish yellow, except all coxae black, extreme apex of hind femur, extreme apex of hind tibia, and hind tarsus infuscate. Wing membrane hyaline, C+SC+R, 1-R1, border of pterostigma, r, 2-SR and 2-M brown, the rest more or less pale yellowish, pterostigma yellowish brown.

Variation. Body length 2.4–2.5 mm, fore wing length 2.4–2.5 mm.

Male. Unknown.

Material examined. Holotype: 1♀, Changchun , Jilin, 1992.VII.25, Lou Juxian, No. 951266 . Paratype: 1♀, Lishui , Zhejiang, 1982.IV–VI, Xu Yue, No. 824020 .

Distribution. China (Jilin, Zhejiang).

Etymology. The specific name “ stigmaium ” derives from the Latin “stigma” and Greek “-ium”, referring to pterostigma rather small.

Remarks. This species is similar to A. cornicula Chen & Song , but differs in the following: 1-CU1 distinctly longer than 2-CU1 (shorter in latter); T3 1.5× longer than T2 (2.0× longer than T 2 in latter); and antenna slightly shorter than body length (longer in latter).
