West Palaearctic region:

This area, as defined here, includes the whole of Europe, northern Africa, Arabian peninsula, Caspian region and Siberia to Lake Baikal. All five species recorded here are true Zyras .

East Palaearctic region:

This area includes Siberia east from Lake Baikal, Nepal, northern India, China, Taiwan, Koreas, Japan and Russia Far East. Currently there are 36 species described from this region and one nomen nudum.
