Ipodoryctes Granger, 1949 View in CoL View at ENA
Ipodoryctes Granger, 1949: 106 View in CoL ; Belokobylskij, 1994: 129, 2001: 135. Type: Ipodoryctes anticestriatus Granger, 1949 View in CoL , by original designation.
Diagnosis. Eye glabrous. Malar absent. Hypoclypeal depression round. Mesonotum high, usually gently and roundly elevated above pronotum. Notauli entirely deep, sparsely crenulate. Precoxal sulcus deep, long, almost straight and smooth. Prepectal carina distinct and complete. Vein r of fore wing usually arising from middle of pterostigma. Veins 2-SR and r-m present. Vein m-cu postfurcal, rarely almost interstitial. Vein cu-a postfurcal. Vein CU1a not interstitial, arising from anterior 0.2–0.7 of distal margin of first subdiscal cell. Subdiscal cell closed. Hind wing veins cu-a and m-cu present. Fore tibia with rather dense spines arranged in narrow stripe. Hind coxa with basoventral tooth. Hind femur with dorsal protuberances. First metasomal tergite not petiolate; dorsope of first tergite distinct; spiracular tubercles indistinct or small; dorsal carinae more or less complete and subparallel. Second suture distinct, without lateral bends. Second tergite usually with apical area. Sixth tergite of female rather large, almost concealed the succeeding segments.
This genus is similar to Rhaconotus Ruthe, 1854 , but can be distinguished by having fore wing vein CU1a not interstitial, arising from anterior 0.2–0.7 of distal margin of first subdiscal cell; the second tergite usually with basal area; the metasoma always with 6 visible tergites and sixth tergite enlarged.
