Diagnosis. R 2 not reaching R 3, r-m present; arm of gonocoxite with a row of six rod-like setae at apex; elongated gonostylus with apex medially directed; three pairs of fused projections in the aedeagal complex; one pair digitiform, with a row of apical setulae, one pair divergent apically, and one pair triangular, all joined by a membrane; ejaculatory apodeme short, as long as gonostylus.

Description. Male. Head subcircular in frontal view. Antenna with 13 flagellomeres; scape subcylindrical; pedicel subspherical; basal flagellomeres piriform ( Fig. 34 AView FIGURES 34 A – K); ascoids 1.25 times the length of flagellomere ( Fig. 34 BView FIGURES 34 A – K); 13 th flagellomere subcylindrical with terminal apiculus separated by a suture ( Fig. 34 IView FIGURES 34 A – K). Palpus three segmented; first segment with sensilla in depressed pit on medial surface; palpus formula 1.0: 0.7: 0.9 ( Fig. 34 CView FIGURES 34 A – K). Wing. R 2 not reaching R 3, r-m present and m-cu absent ( Fig. 34 EView FIGURES 34 A – K). Male terminalia: Hypandrium and gonocoxites fused. Posterior arm of gonocoxites with mesal margin expanded medially, apices curved, directed ventromedially, with a row of six digitiform setae unserted apically and a row of apical bristles ( Figs. 34 D, 34 GView FIGURES 34 A – K). Gonostylus ventrally to gonocoxite, elongated and with apex directed diagonally upward ( Figs. 34 G, 34 KView FIGURES 34 A – K). Presence of three pairs of fused projections in the aedeagal complex; one pair digitiform, with a row of apical setulae, one pair directed diagonally and divergent apically, and one triangular pair horizontal disposed, all joined by a membrane ( Fig. 34 HView FIGURES 34 A – K). One pair of parameres with truncated apex ( Fig. 34 JView FIGURES 34 A – K). Ejaculatory apodeme short, the same length as gonostylus. Epandrium medially narrow. Cercus subquadrangular with bristles at apex, fused in a expanded plate medially. Hypoproct apically blunt, piriform with setulae ( Fig. 34 FView FIGURES 34 A – K).

Etymology. The epithet is allusive the North region, where the specimen was found.
