Diagnosis. R 4 + 5 with base unsclerotized; r-m unsclerotized; dorsal subtriangular expansion with curved apex on gonocoxite; three pairs of projections in the aedeagal complex; one subtriangular, one Y-shaped and one pair directed horizontally in the medial portion of gonocoxite; ejaculatory apodeme short, 0.8 times the length of gonostylus.

Description. Male. Head subcircular in frontal view. Antenna incomplete in the studied specimens; scape and pedicel subspherical; flagellomeres pyriform and eccentric ( Fig. 3 AView FIGURES 3 A – F); ascoids not visualized. Palpus three segmented; first segment with sensilla in depressed pit on medial surface; palpus formula 1.0: 0.6: 0.6 ( Fig. 3 BView FIGURES 3 A – F). Wing. R 4 + 5 with base unsclerotized; r-m unsclerotized and m-cu absent ( Fig. 3 CView FIGURES 3 A – F). Male terminalia: Hypandrium and gonocoxites fused with a dorsal subtriangular expansion with curved apex. Arm of gonocoxite digitiform and pilose with two elongated bristles in the lateral margin. Gonostylus slightly sclerotized, articulated ventrally to gonocoxite, bare, and with expanded base. Presence of three pairs of projections in the aedeagal complex; one pair subtriangular, one pair fused in the apex, Y-shaped and one pair directed horizontally in the medial portion of gonocoxite. Aedeagus bifid ( Fig. 3 FView FIGURES 3 A – F). Ejaculatory apodeme short, 0.8 times the length of gonostylus. Epandrium long than wide. Cercus digitiform ( Fig. 3 EView FIGURES 3 A – F) with a medial expansion with about five apical rod-like setae ( Fig. 3 DView FIGURES 3 A – F). Epiproct subtriangular and membranous. Hypoproct with apical micropilosity ( Fig. 3 EView FIGURES 3 A – F).

Female. Unknown.

Material examined. Brazil, Amazonas, Manacapuru, Cajatuba, Km 69 /3, 06.X. 1998, holotype ♂, without name of collector ( MZFS).

Etymology. The epithet lobata  refers to the lobe of the cercus.
