Trichomyia andina Bejarano, Pérez-Doria & Sierra

Trichomyia andina Bejarano, Pérez-Doria & Sierra, 2010: 76 –77, figs. 1–7.

Comments. Males of T. andina are recognized by the pigmentation of the gonostylus, that extending from the base to the medial portion; the gonocoxite has an apical small lobe with thick bristles. The aedeagus and projections in the aedeagal complex are covered by a membranous sac. The type specimens were not examined; however, the description and figures of Bejarano et al. (2010) allowed for the identification of the specimen from Brazil.

Material examined. Brazil, Rondônia, Caucalândia, 200 km SSE of Porto Velho, 25.V–6. VI.1998, 1 ♂, L.W. Quate leg. ( MZFS).

Distribution. Colômbia; Brazil—Rondônia (new record).
