Type species: Meconemopsis borellii Karny, 1924 , by original designated.

Subgeneric diagnosis. Body small, form robust. Metazona of pronotum elongate, posterior margin obtusely rounded, lateral lobes longer than high, humeral sinus distinct. Tegmina surpassing apex of abdomen, just reaching apices of genicular lobes of postfemora. All femora unarmed on ventral surface. Procoxae with 1 small spine; protibiae with short ventral spines, tibial tympana opened on both sides; genicular lobes of postfemora with an obvious apical spine on each side. Male supra-anal plate with small membranous or semi-membranous fold, it more or less visible in posteroventral view, but invisible in dorsal and ventral views.

Species included. The subgenus contains 10 species from Indonesia, Laos and Malaysia.
