“ Cufodontia curranii ” (Standl.) Woodson , mss. in sched.
Notes —The specimen cited by Woodson (1951) as the type of A. curranii (“Curran 294”) is a paratype.
Marcondes-Ferreira (1991) treated A. curranii as a subspecies of A. megalocarpon Müll.Arg. However , we consider A. curranii as a distinct species because it presents smaller inflorescences (1–1.3 vs. 2–2.4 cm long) and yellowish follicles (vs. brownish) with inconspicuous lenticels (vs. conspicuous).
