Notes — Maguire & Wurdack (1958) cited the gathering Maguire & Politi 28255 from the herbarium NY as the holotype of A. glaucum . Based on this information and the materials studied, we consider that the two materials with this information in NY (NY barcodes 00297969 and 00297975) belong to a single specimen mounted on two sheets since one carries the annotation “see fruit collection” (NY barcode 00297969) and the other presents fruit remains (NY barcode 00297975) (ICN article 8.3, Ex. 5; Turland et al. 2018). According to Cremers (2001), the holotype of A. macrophyllum subsp. morii was transferred from the herbarium CAY to the herbarium P.

After analyzing the specimens of A. glaucum and A. macrophyllum subsp. morii , we observed that their characteristics overlap with those of A. schultesii , such as the leaves with craspedodromous venation and longer petioles (2.5–4.3 cm long). Thus, we consider A. glaucum and A. macrophyllum synonyms of A. schultesii .
